At the 13th edition of the Children's Olympics in Überlingen, there were a record number of 20 stations, with almost 500 children taking part.

Überlingen hosted the Children's Olympics again. For the 13th time, MCD Sportmarketing organized the event, in which various Überlingen sports clubs organized sporting stations where children had to test various skills or try out new sports. Children aged six to twelve were eligible to participate.

Organizer Dufner was satisfied...

According to Markus Dufner, owner of MCD Sportmarketing, which organized the Children's Olympics, the results this year were positive. With 20 stations, a record was broken, Dufner explained.

At the Children's Olympics, fun was the key; each child received a certificate and a medal.

The association Die Umarmung eV from Unteruhldingen also had a booth at the Children's Olympics. Children could improve their long jump skills there. "We are committed to children," said Marja Neudel about the association's work. The association campaigns "against bullying," for "more exercise among children," and supports talented children, as Marja Neudel explained. Her husband Christian Neudel, chairman of the association, added: "Exercise is about getting children more active, because of this history today with PlayStations, etc.." One of the "pillars of the association" is also the talent search, as the chairman explained. "Talent search in the sense that there are many talented children, but that our talent scouting at such a young age is not particularly developed," explained Mr. Neudel. Reasons for this include, for example, "parents who don't have the time" or families with financial difficulties, Mr. Neudel explained.

Our new mascot couldn’t be missing.

The mascot is a genuine handcrafted organic wool item designed and crafted by Franziska Koch. THANK YOU, FRANZI

The special thing about our mascot is that he wears a cute backpack.

Your individual favorite oil is stored in the backpack.

The favorite oil is a special essential oil developed exclusively for children. These oils can support children emotionally and physically in everyday life. This way, the child always has a unique stuffed animal with a special scent with them.

.....but Our mascot doesn't have a name yet.

Maybe you have ideas that you can send us by email info@die-umarmung.de

you can send.

The mascots will soon be available for purchase in limited editions on our website, including your favorite oil.

You can also become a “sponsor” for the mascot.

This means you buy a mascot, and we give it to a child who desperately needs it. We'll then send you a photo of the handover. You'll be thrilled to see what good you can do with it.

Claudia Girnuweit, 2nd Chairwoman

We at the club would like to say THANK YOU again for the opportunity to take part in the 13th Children's Olympics.

We'll be back next year...
